3-Step Process to Run Biometric Attendance Smoothly

  1. Ensure the internet connection is switched on and working properly.
  2. Turn on the biometric device.
  3. Turn on the computer which have the biometric setup installed.

That’s it, the system is ready to use.

Biometric Attendance not Working: General Troubleshooting

  1. Verify that the internet connection is active.
  2. Check if the biometric device is powered on and connected to the internet.
  3. Ensure the computer is switched on and the Classunify Synchronizer is running.
  4. Check whether data is being synchronised in: ERP → Settings → Attendance Logs

If attendance data is visible in the logs, the system is functioning correctly.

Troubleshooting for a Particular Student

  1. Go to: ERP → Settings → Attendance Logs
  2. Search using the Student ID (e.g., ABC1234) and select a date range of at least 3 months.
    • If attendance data is found → The biometric card is working correctly.
    • If no data is found → The student may not be marking attendance properly.

 

How to Turn Off the Biometric Device

  1. Press and hold the power button (bottom-left) for 5 seconds until the device shuts down.
